The Monitoring Analyst is responsible for conducting daily monitoring and investigation into suspicious game payouts and breaches of critical game play levels or regulations. This role contributes to safeguarding the business from a revenue protection perspective and contributing to ensuring regulatory and license conditions are adhered to.

**Alert Monitoring & Investigation**
- Monitor the departmental queues on a regular basis throughout the working day ensuring management are aware of high severity cases for
- suspicious game and player level payout alerts across different game types
- wager-payout flow and odds verification across different progressive games
- operational game play volume and wager level across top, progressive and new games
- regulatory compliance with feature and wager restrictions
- game play in restricted markets
- Be familiar with the departmental systems/processes and their implementation to conduct investigations
- Review monitoring alerts in line with prescribed procedures
- Create and maintain accurate and concise records of all investigations undertaken including details on the rationale for any decisions made
- Participate in 24/7 eyes-on schedule aimed at monitoring of suspicious game play and payouts

**Compliance Audits**
- Assist Monitoring Team to provide evidence for internal and external RTP audits:

- Extract evidence
- proving games in audit sample were monitored
- showcasing hierarchy and level of detail of monitoring
- elaborating on troubleshooting and further investigations conducted in response to monitoring conducted
- Assist in conducting quantitative analysis on discrepancies identified, utilizing flat RTP tests, wager variance tests and further investigation to determine cause of discrepancies identified between certified and observed payout levels

**Ongoing improvement**
- Identifying business improvement opportunities and efficiencies
- Develop a good understanding of the business though shadowing, requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, research, etc.
- Contribute to the structured processes to analyse data and conduct investigations

Stakeholder engagement & communication
- Identify opportunities to improve ways of working with the business

**Documentation & Training**
- Create documentation to communicate solution implementation and help standardise and optimise monitoring processes
- Help create training resources on monitoring tools for internal users
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the monitoring team to ensure efficient delivery of projects including reports

**Technical Skills & Experience**
- Degree or above in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Statistics or relevant disciplines
- Problem solving involving critical & analytical thinking
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build credibility
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, remote team
- Able to work independently under pressure and accomplish tasks assigned within tight deadline

**Nice to have**
- Experience with SQL
- Experience working in online gaming industry would be advantageous
- Exposure to Data analysis
- 1 - 2 years' experience or above in suspicious activity and compliance monitoring, screening or equivalent role
- Knowledge of regulatory monitoring with preference for individuals with a background in risk management, fraudulent transaction investigations, AML and/or audit
