General Ledger Bookkeeper

**Job Duties/Responsibilities will include**:
Ensure that all the required input for month end is done correctly and timeously
Prepare and/or upload monthly journals, ensuring timeous and accurate processing
Prepare general ledger reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timeously
Prepare VAT calculation and manage submissions
Calculate and prepare finance lease reconciliations
Ensure that financial debtors are invoiced and debt collected on time
Ensure a clean financial debtor age analysis
Ensure that monthly tracking schedule has been updated to ensure completeness of reporting
Ensure an updated register for all DTI records and renew as and when required
Assist in general ledger maintenance & master data - dimension 1,2,3
Assist in all aspects for audit queries and documents required
Identify opportunities to improve processes
Review and maintain SOP’s on an annual basis
Matric
B.Com Degree/ Relevant Post matric finance qualification
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a large sized organization
Experience of and ability to work on large information (accounting) systems
Analytical skills
Interpersonal skills
Ability to perform under pressure
Self-starter and self -motivated
Sense of urgency
Prioritizing and planning
Verbal and written communication skills
Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment
