**Key Responsibilities**:
**Water Quality Monitoring and Sampling**:

- Assist in the planning and execution of water quality monitoring programs.
- Collect water samples, ensuring adherence to standard protocols and safety procedures.

**Data Collection and Analysis**:

- Record and maintain accurate field data and sample logs.
- Perform preliminary analysis of water samples and prepare them for laboratory testing.

**Equipment Maintenance and Calibration**:

- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot monitoring equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
- Ensure all field instruments and equipment are in proper working condition.

**Reporting and Documentation**
- Assist in the collation of data and the preparation of detailed reports on water quality findings

**Project support**
- Assist with stakeholder consultations and public participation processes
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data management, mapping and cartography

**Qualifications**:

- A diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, Chemistry, or Oceanography, or a related field.
- Experience in water quality monitoring and sampling is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to accurately record and report data.
- Valid driver’s license.
