**Job Description**:
Business Development and Marketing
- Develop and implement a business development strategy to enhance and broaden the overall CPF value proposition, service delivery and client engagement in line with the CPF overall strategy
- Contribute to the development of the business unit strategy by providing a view on potential improvements for products or services and an assessment of the existing situation and anticipated changes in the external environment.
- Presenting, negotiating and influencing senior stakeholders to gain buy-in and to develop the CPF business development plan.
- Manage websites, PR, digital marketing, advertising and conference activities.
- Drive and monitor overall CPF market share, customer retention, customer growth, customer satisfaction and customer profitability.
- Develop a strong relationship with the Marketing Team in order to raise the profile of CPF externally and position Absa CPF as a thought-leader in property sector.
- Ensure an excellent service is being delivered to customers, consistently meeting their ongoing needs, while operating to required levels of cost.
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with the CPF sector heads and other peers in order to devise the best solutions for clients.
- Proactively anticipate, respond to and seek to exceed the expectations of customers through coordinated business development initiatives.
- Embrace new and existing technologies and innovations and become proactive leaders of change

- Act as sector expert for real estate debt finance and develop an appropriate network in order to maximize all potential opportunities.
- Interact in a confident and knowledgeable manner and have the ability to draw on expert presentation skills.
- Instill a best-in-class approach to product knowledge, sales research, customer relationship development, and solutioning to meet customers’ needs using market and industry information across the team.
- Maintain strong external and internal market knowledge to be at the forefront of what our customers need and changes within the external market and use this to develop new revenue generating propositions. Maintain a strong external network which is regularly leveraged.
- Oversee the implementation of special projects within the area.

Research
- Lead the decisions with regards to the area's research development and vision and engage with other stakeholders across the firm for example other Research Heads to create synergies and leverage off other channels with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of the area.
- Ensure that the team conducts in-depth property analysis and insights and monitors the sector on an ongoing basis.
- Proactively share research with all CPF teams to ensure that they are kept abreast of recent developments and the industry on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure that that the team maintains the integrity of relevant research data on an ongoing basis.
- Co-ordinate multiple, concurrent research projects and produce reports for various stakeholders when required regarding varied projects.
- Source information from external market data providers, business / investments magazines, internal research and the internet in order to develop understanding of industry

Business Management
- Track targets set by Head Absa CPF and provide insightful commentary on business development performance.
- As a member of the CPF Management team, ensure collaborative working and sharing of best practice across the team.
- Share best practice and industry knowledge with peers in order to maximise CPF performance and support the implementation of the CPF strategic initiatives.

People Management
- Support, coach and develop team members
- Participate fully in your Performance Development, continue to proactively develop yourself and undertake relevant training.
- Drive a culture of transformation and innovation within the Business Development and Research team and encourage knowledge sharing and new ways of doing things.
- Embed formal Performance Development and informal coaching.
- Establish and maintain a succession plan for the key roles in the area and review and approve succession plans for one level below.
