Storeman

**Overall Job Purpose**:
Responsible for processing the receipt of all inbound freight (materials & consumables) by purchase order. The Storeman is also responsible for replenishing product issued to departments whilst maintaining effective stock control. This is to ensure stock is procured on time enabling the company to meet its delivery deadlines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage all stock and equipment control
- Receive deliveries
- Report any discrepancies/quality issues to supplier and raise reject notes as appropriate
- Check and ensure that all materials and components correspond to purchase orders
- Ensure the accuracy of all recorded stock through appropriate systems, processes and procedures
- All goods to be signed in and signed out to relevant departments/job area
- Goods to be stored in appropriate location
- Ensure goods dispatched to sub-contractors are controlled and recorded, both to and from supplier
- Liaise with internal departments daily
- Monitor stock levels daily
- Advise procurement department of stock requirements
- Conduct stock takes when required
- Monitor stock levels and manage appropriately
- Communicate effectively with all departments to resolve queries
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards
- To continuously improve the departmental process
- Abide by rule, regulations and policies and procedures
- Provide assistance to others where possible
- Housekeeping and safety registers
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Ensure all pricing on job cards received from projects is in line with costing clerks costing sheets
- Ensure sound lasting relations with reliable suppliers
- Monitor supplier delivery and raise late supply
- Give feedback to Factory Manager/Supervisors and Projects Managers
- Ensure that BEE compliant suppliers are used as far as possible
- Request updated BEE Certificates from Suppliers for BEE verification
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager within reason

**Job Requirements**
