**Job Opportunity: Assistant Storeman**

We are seeking an Assistant Storeman within the Shop Fitting Joinery to join our factory in Parow. If you're interested in becoming part of a dynamic team, we'd like to hear from you.

The Assistant Storeman is responsible for processing the receipt of all inbound freight (materials and consumables) according to purchase orders. This role includes replenishing products issued to various departments and maintaining effective stock control. The Assistant Storeman plays a key role in ensuring that stock is procured on time, allowing the company to meet its delivery deadlines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Order Picking and Packing
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to dispatch schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging for safe transport.
- Stock Control and Inventory Management
- Maintain an accurate record of all dispatched goods.
- Perform regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Report discrepancies in stock levels or damaged goods to the Storeman.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods from delivery vehicles.
- Ensure proper handling and placement of goods to prevent damage when loading trucks.
- Coordination with Other Departments, i.e Factory Manager, supervisors and Project Managers.
- Coordinate with the Storeman team to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
- Record Keeping, Maintain accurate documentation for all dispatched goods, including pricing of job cards and delivery receipts.
- Update inventory systems with dispatch information as needed.
- Quality Control and Safety
- Ensure that all dispatched goods meet quality standards before dispatch.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling goods.
- Assist with customer inquiries related to dispatch and delivery times.
- Provide assistance to delivery drivers when needed.
- General Warehouse Duties
- Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as cleaning and organizing the dispatch area.
- Support the Storeman with additional tasks as required.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- At least 3 - 4 years of experience in a manufacturing industry
- Reside in Parow or nearby
- Working hours (Monday to Thursday) 07:30 - 16:30, Fridays 07:30 - 14:15 (this might change based on company discretion.
- Criminal Clear record
- Qualification in Dispatch will be an added advantage
