- We are looking for a Technical Advisor: Psychosocial Support to develop and implement activities aimed at strengthening psychosocial support, adherence & retention for PLHIV including scale up of HIV testing, care and support for children & adolescents in and outside DoH health facilities._

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Support the implementation of HIV Programme as outlined in the work plan.
- Strengthen referral linkages within the health systems, especially between health facilities and CBO’s in partnering with other organisations, Anova and DoH staff.
- Oversee the implementation of the KidzAlive (KA) model, as well as adolescent support groups within the facilities and Anova staff.
- Support OVC programs in collaboration with the other NGOs within the district.
- Mentor and Support the SAW to provide psychosocial support to children, adolescents and their caregivers where needed.
- Support DoH/Anova counsellors and clinicians to conduct case-finding at adult, adolescent and paediatric antiretroviral (ART) sites.
- Identify training needs within the organisation and the DoH facilities.
- Attend to stakeholders’ meetings including facility/sub district management meetings.
- Manage Social Auxiliary workers and provide support to the Linkage Officers retention counselors on counselling modalities.

**Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.**

**Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required**:

- Bachelor of Social Science (Social Work) or relevant qualification
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
- Up to 5 years of Social Work experience, including supervising Social Auxiliary workers and working with children, adolescents & adults
- At least 3 years’ experience working in HIV/AIDS programme and supervision of staff
- Training in I-ACT and NAS (National Adherence Strategy) and KidzAlive
- Good presentation and excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Good report writing skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
