Grade 12 and or equivalent certification.

Artisan with min NTC3 (NQF Level 4/3) or an apprenticeship with successful completion of a recognised industry trade test. (Electrician advantageous)

3 to 5 years’ maintenance experience

Previous experience in plant / food manufacturing (advantageous).

Understanding and knowledge of ovens, fryers, air compressors, electrical appliances, refrigerators, freezers, gas lines, diesel storage etc

Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and listening skills.

Good technical and IT skills.

Maintain a positive ‘CAN DO’ attitude within a fast-paced environment.

Able to work independently and in a TEAM. SELF starter and MOTIVATOR to ensure continual improvement within factory and snowball plant.

Reside in area. (Preferably / Own transport)

Willing to work 45 hours per week including public holidays and weekends.

Able to proactively and reactively work with a diverse group of people, external contractors, management and auditors.

Routine maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs, checking ovens, doors, locks etc

Devising, improving, and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them correctly. (Ie. New Machinery / Tools)

Supervising contractors on site and ensuring job completion.

Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.

Keeping accurate documentation and checklists in place for QC / audit purposes.

Repairing equipment and fixtures

Completing minor plumbing works

Completing electrical works

Installation of small appliances as and when required

Completing minor welding works

Conveyor belt, maintenance and repairs as required

Able to troubleshoot and assess repairs needed within allocated budget to project

Maintain tools and equipment as well as inventory thereof

Conducting regular internal factory inspections as part of preventative maintenance

On the job experience in all disciplines required for maintenance (advantageous)

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 3 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Epping, Western Cape (required)
