The Stores Supervisor is responsible for all material receipts, storage, issues, and physical control. Controls the warehouse and issuing to internal customers according to the production plan and departmental requisitions. Control of stock in off-site warehousing/ Contracted storage and coordinate the relevant movements. Ensure that all physical stock movements are recorded real time on the system (on-site and off-site movements). Ensures that a high level of stock accuracy is maintained at bin location level. Ensures continual maintenance of GMP, GWP, Safety standards as well as general housekeeping standards within the working environment and that the warehouses and related storage areas are always audit ready. Ensures that all daily Operational and equipment checks are done as per the relevant procedures, including temperature monitoring and related logbooks. Ensure that stock rotation FIFO/ FEFO is maintained. Ensure optimal on-site storage utilisation to minimise costs. Ensure efficient use of resources.

**Role Specific**
- Ensures that all transactions are accurately and timeously conducted on the ERP system (Real time).
- Ensures that materials are stored according to the individual storage requirements, as well as to Good Warehousing Practices.
- Plans and ensures that materials are picked and issued timeously according to the production plan.
- Responsibility for implementing and maintaining stock control measures.
- Responsible for the housekeeping/GMP in all warehousing areas and freezer areas.
- Ensures that material handling is adequately controlled within the warehouse environment.
- Studies, records and recommends remedial actions for non-usable, slow moving and excess stock.
- Reviews records for accuracy and information and compliance with established procedures.
- Work closely with the Supply chain coordinator ensuring that stock takes/cycle counts is conducted effectively within the company.
- Investigates and reports on stock accuracy figures to the Supply chain coordinator monthly.
- Daily verification and maintenance of scales used for weighing of materials.
- Control of stock in off-site warehousing.
- Ensuring accurate and relevant information is supplied to stakeholders. Including the drawing up of the month end provisions list for finance.
- Responsibility and Management of the Materials receiving Clerk, and the Forklift driver.
- Ensures that continuous improvement is integrated into all aspects of the related internal processes.

**Qualifications and Training**
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in a FMCG environment

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Supervisory experience in a GMP warehouse / stores environment. (preferably cGMP).
- ISO13485, GMP/GWP and QA compliance
- Ability to encourage and co-ordinate individuals from Quality, Production, Suppliers as well as supply chain to ensure that materials are received/processed on time.
- An understanding and working experience of an ERP system in warehousing.
- An understanding of the flow of material, processes and documentation.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- An understanding of the procurement side of an ERP and the impacts on the system, material and product should the requirement not be made timeously.
- An understanding of the inventory side of an ERP system and the impacts on the system, material and product should the stock not be accurate and available.
- Ability to manage and motivate team members within the stores environment.
- Ability to multi-skill and multi-task, plan and follow up on issues.
- Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
