- Tertiary qualification in a related health or scientific field
- Minimum of 2yrs working experience in relevant area of expertise
- Demonstrated ability in clinical trial/research coordination
- Familiarity with community-based research principles
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and STI screening, diagnosis and management, including pre-exposure prophylaxis
- Familiarity with Department of Health policies and procedures as they pertain to HIV/AIDS and STI management
- Demonstrated data management skills (data analysis a bonus)
- Strong focus on quality management and quality improvement processes
- Experience working with government stakeholders would be beneficial
- Fluency in English and isiXhosa
- Clear criminal record

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Monitors the adherence to standard operating policies and procedures
- Organises and oversees project-specific activities
- Maintains records of staff training and qualification
- Coordinates the day-to-day activities of study team members
- Implements and maintains data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocol
- Ensures study data are stored in a secure location with limited access and in compliance with applicable guidelines and standards
- Develops and maintains records of research activities, and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports, as required by investigators or administrators
- Communicates research study updates and challenges in a timely manner to the applicable Investigators and the study management team
