**Business Unit**:Discovery Insure**Function**:Insurance (Short Term)**Date**:6 Sep 2023**Key Purpose**
- To assess motor liability claims to determine validity and cost from third party Insurers.**Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to**
- Motor liability claims assessing, including settlement of liability claims
- Turn-around time and predetermined mandates.
- Loss adjustment by correctly quantifying losses and/or verifying claimed amounts from third party insurers.
- Reporting on all assessed claims and negotiate settlements
- Perform administrative tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Make recommendations to prevent fraud

**Education and Experience**
- Matric (Essential)
- 3 years’ minimum experience as a motor vehicle assessor or equivalent role (Essential)
- 3 years' minimum assessing of motor vehicle damage at a reputable service provider (Essential)
- Vehicle damage quantification (Essential)
- 3 years’ minimum experience working at an Auto Body Repairer, either as an Estimator or as Motor Repairer (Advantageous)
- Audatex experience or similar equivalent (Advantageous)
- Diploma/Degree (Advantageous)
