**_ Position Purpose:_**
- To provide effective tactical and operational capability for managing the System Development Lifecycle processes and all

system development related activities.
- Make sure ERP System such as SAP adhere to international standards.
- Support and management of logical security, user authorisation profiles and business roles, passwords, and access control

for ERP Systems such as SAP.
**_ Position outputs:_**
- Develop system design and technical specifications for all software development projects.
- Migration of code from Dev, QA and Production environment.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of code once migrated to new environments or connected to new business system environment.
- End-to-end testing of code.
- Adhering to coding standards, IT governance, audit requirements, privacy policies, business requirements, timelines, etc.
- Support Test Phases (SIT, UAT, etc.).
- Conduct demo sessions with stakeholders.
- Administer code fixes post code review.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and

enhance our existing systems.
- Compile detail statistics and graphs for monthly reports to show trends and optimise systems.
- Configuration, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an on-going basis as well as

scheduling and executing the SAP transport system and creation/maintenance of interfaces into the SAP system.
- Maintain multiple SAP installations that compromise the SAP environment.
- Implementation of optimal SAP configuration to maximise system performance and availability.
- Ensure all proper change management and problem management processes are followed.
- Ensure segregation of duty standards are adhered to for all the systems users.
- Perform and manage system updates and fixes.
- Ensure full compliance to Transnet Control Frameworks.
- Scheduling and implementation of backups for all systems.
- Ensure integrity of system backups and the smooth running of the offsite system replication.

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- Bachelor's Degree in either Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field -At least 5
- years’ experience as a SAP technical consultant or similar role in a large corporate environment- Experience in SAP ERP System support or related
- Certification in COBIT 5 and ITIL V3 will be an added advantage
- Hands on experience with programming languages such as Java, c#, Python, ABAP,.Net Development Framework, etc.
- Experience with Data Visualization tools
