**Position**
- Senior Manager - Coordinated Assurance**Job Purpose**
- To manage coordinated assurance across the bank and Group by providing an enterprise-wide coordinated assurance strategy, methodology, framework and integrating and aligning assurance processes in the bank to maximise risk and compliance oversight and control efficiencies, and optimise overall assurance provided to the to the Board and designated Board sub-committees by considering the bank’s risk appetite/risk universe/key issues. Alignment of control validation/assurance approaches and efforts across the bank, driving efficiency and the right levels of comfort. To ensure that the Environmental, Social and Governance Risk Management framework is embedded with the Group.**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic direction on coordinated assurance strategy across the group
- Provide strategic direction on coordinated assurance methodology across the group
- Provide strategic direction on coordinated assurance strategy framework the group
- Coordinate and drive a strong strategic approach to the Risk, Audit and Compliance plans
- Design and implement effective and efficient coordinated assurance processes to ensure that the Risk, Audit and Compliance plans are optimized and comply with strategy/methodology/framework and corporate governance expectations functions.
- Enable world-class coordinated assurance through continuous engagement, collaboration, training.
- Provide strategic direction on coordinated assurance forums and provide insightful and actionable reporting and feedback to coordinated assurance forums.
- Provide strategic direction on the plans by consulting, engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
- Build trusting relationships with all stakeholders (Board, Exco, Cluster Risk Officers, regulators, analysts, industry bodies) by being a value driven leader and strategic business partner.
- Co-ordinate and drive a strong strategic approach to coordinated assurance management by ensuring the alignment between the risk/compliance/audit objectives and the business strategies of the Group.
- Provide strategic direction on ESG Risk Management Framework across the group.
- Coordinate and drive a strong strategic approach to ESG Risk Management Framework
- Design and implement effective and efficient ESG analysis processes to ensure that the processes are optimised and comply with regulatory, rating agency expectations functions.
- Enable world-class ESG risk management through continuous engagement, collaboration, training.
- Provide strategic direction on ERCOs and provide insightful and actionable reporting and feedback to ERCOs
- Perform/provide assurance over the implementation of ERM Framework, guidelines/standards and methodologies.
- Provide support for Group ERM colleagues in reporting into relevant Executive and Board Level committees.
- Contribute towards initiatives to digitise and streamline ERM processes across the group.
- Maintain an open and constructive relationship as a Trusted Advisor with senior internal and external stakeholders including SARB, External Audit and Business Executives.
- Report on the overall effectiveness of the internal control environment of the Group.
- Have in place a robust process to follow-up on the coordinated assurance approved themes and management’s agreed actions to address issues raised by coordinated assurance forums.
- Minimum Experience Level- 8 years financial services experience in a management position.
- Banking experience, inclusive of risk/audit/compliance experience.
- Ability to operate at management level
- Implementation of IT systems and Digitalization (eg process automation)

- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification- Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)
