Front Office Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused Front Office Supervisor to join our clients boutique hotel located in the vibrant city of Cape Town. As a well-established and highly regarded hotel, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for their guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring smooth and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
- Lead and motivate a team of front desk associates, providing guidance and support to maintain excellent service standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise.
- Assist with guest reservations and inquiries, utilizing the hotel management system to manage bookings and room availability.
- Train and onboard new front desk associates, ensuring they are knowledgeable about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for guests.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and seamless guest experiences.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following established procedures and maintaining proper documentation.
- Prepare and distribute reports, including occupancy and revenue statistics, to management as required.
- Assist the Front Office Manager in various administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a hotel front desk department is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Proficiency in hotel management software and reservation systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of local attractions and amenities in Cape Town is an advantage.

This is a full-time position, and the start date for this role is as soon as possible.
