A steel fabrication/construction company is looking for an experienced Project Manager with relevant Structural Steel/Construction experience for their offices based in Mpumalanga

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for successful management, running and oversight of ongoing projects at the companies’ various customers and sites
- Direct and manage project development from inception to completion
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support customer and business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Develop full-scale project plans and all related documents
- Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and timeously
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Draft and submit budget proposals
- Update, justify and recommend budget changes where necessary
- Arrange with company managers for the acquisition of personnel from within the company as may be required by the various projects
- Determine and assess the need for additional staff or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments as required by the various projects
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and all relevant parties
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identify and manage project dependencies and most especially critical path
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones
- Consistently track project milestones and deliverables
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis, and devise appropriate contingency plans
- Identify and define project success criteria and distribute to all relevant parties throughout the various projects
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members as well as contractors
- Build, nurture, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the various projects
- Where relevant complete project post mortems and create recommendations based on successful and unsuccessful project elements
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
- Responsible for compliance to health and safety rules internally as well as on customer site
- Management of quality control system on projects from establishment of site to project completion and sign off by the client

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Relevant Degree/Diploma in Civil/Construction is preferred
- Completion of a certified PMP qualification would be beneficial
- **MUST HAVE** 7 to 10 years’ experience in the Structural Steel Construction industry
- **MUST HAVE** 5 to 7 Year Structural Steel Project Management experience running multiple projects simultaneously
- 3 to 5 years JBCC exposure and knowledge is essential
- Previous QA/QC experience in a similar environment is preferred
- **MUST** have own reliable car
- **MUST** be able to travel regularly to site
- Advanced Multiple Project Management experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects running simultaneously - setting priorities, identifying and addressing problems, meeting deadlines
- Budget Management experience
- Good Organizational, Interpersonal and Planning skills
- Good communication skills both verbal and written are essential - including the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Fully Computer literate - MS Office, advanced Excel and Project related software
- Salary is dependent on technical expertise, project knowledge and relevant industry experience
