Our client in Delmas, Mpumalanga is looking for a Construction Supervisor to join their team.

PURPOSE:

- SMEIPP - To provide expert knowledge and management of construction as a function across all projects in the business unit.
- To set standards and to ensure that sound practices are applied across all projects, adding maximum value for business of today/tomorrow.
- To oversee and advise Project Managers with respect to construction management of projects and governance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

- Management Development Programme (Desirable /Preferable)
- BSc (Honours) Mechanical, or B-Tech Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management (Essential/ Minimum)
- 3 years minimum experience in Project Execution and Construction
- Strong Administration and Communication Skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure statutory compliance of new projects
- Assess and communicate impact of legal developments on project strategies
- Ensure legal compliance within project.
- Participate in governance systems for small to medium sized projects

Assurance
- Ensure services from Project support services and insourced providers adhere to Corporate Governance with regards to processes, systems, guidelines, and templates
- Implement Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) management and quality management systems to ensure delivery of high-quality projects within budget
- Support core business by ensuring appropriate stakeholder relationships toward enhancing corporate profile
- Manage internal and external relations within corporate, service providers,

Customer, Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management applicable Business Unit's (BU) and other functions responsible to ensure that business needs are met
- Manage project interfaces within project environment and with clients
- Maintain internal and external professional networks
- Ensure well-coordinated construction implementation using integration meetings, scheduling and commercial conditions of contract, with a strong focus on LTIFR and TRIR
- Excellent engineering team liaison to reduce TQNs
- Close out procedure driven from day one
- Engineering integrity sign-offs. Follow the PEP chapter
- Ensure contractor schedules are received frequently and with the correct detail to monitor progress

Technical
