Business Continuity Manager

**Role Responsibilities**:
Strategic and tactical plans for the Business Continuity Management (BCM) competency.
Updating policies and procedures.
Building a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to assess internal and external threats and the risks.
Developing a BCM strategy leveraging existing efforts and best practices.
Driving / developing the content of BCM plans and documentation for core operational areas.
Ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Acquiring / achieving ISO22301 / BS 25999 or equal Business Continuity Management Standards over time.
Propelling other similar facilities programs for occupational health and safety.
Facilitating the establishment of Disaster Recovery plans for clients and for the Data Centres.
Coordinating the design, development, maintenance, and exercise (testing) of the overall disaster recovery plans.
Periodically scope, plan, organise, orchestrate and project manage the group-wide DR tests.
Recommending disaster avoidance measures and improved backup capabilities.
Researching / developing potential DR solutions, obtaining various cost proposals, planning, testing, etc.
Analysing the impact on and risk to essential business functions or information systems.
Ensuring pre-determined reviews and updates for all recovery procedures.
Assisting / guiding the IT teams and, if required, the Businesses in identifying maturity gaps regarding their systems' resilience posture, roles and competencies, recovery documentation, and mitigation plans to resolve the gaps.
Performing IT Continuity stakeholder management across Businesses, IT teams, and Service Provider teams.
Identifying IT Continuity roadmap activities and creating business cases with the solutions architect.
Performing benefits tracking on IT Continuity projects and initiatives.
Business Continuity planning service offering to select Businesses
Developing Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Emergency Management, Contingency, and Pandemic plans for recovery, decision making and communications, and continuity of critical departmental processes or temporary shut-down of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operations and governance.
Conducting business impact analysis, identify and justify Recovery Time Objectives/Recovery Point Objectives, and establish recovery resource requirements.
Assisting company units in determining critical business processes.
Establishing resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.
Ensuring pre-determined reviews and updates for all recovery procedures.
Maintaining global policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance.
Providing instructional and informational materials on how the staff is expected to respond during an emergency.
Maintaining contact with outside contingency planning professional organisations and emergency response groups.
Assisting in planning and execution of BCM simulation exercises for clients.
Producing DR risk, and progress reports at agreed intervals to appropriate executive forums.
Assisting and advising in performing risk analysis for corporate functional areas to identify points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and reduction strategies complementary to cyber security focuses.
Identifying risk exposures at a process level and performing a risk assessment to determine residual risks.
Communicating / ensuring all stakeholders' adherence to IT Continuity Policies, Standards, and Guidelines.
Establishing BCM training material, and offering BCM training.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Relevant IT Degree or Diploma
Senior Management qualification
ITIL Certification
COBIT 5 Certification
Project Management Certification
**Relevant Skills / Experience**:
8 years' experience in a large corporate (fulfilling Business Continuity Management and Analysis roles)
3 years' experience as an Analyst in a large corporation.
Multi-client / vendor environment
Preparation and Review of business proposals
Project Manage extensive DR tests from planning through to execution and post-mortem analysis
Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation, and reporting.
