Job Summary: The Internal Remote Support Technician is an integral part of our IT support team, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for internal staff members.

This role involves addressing hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth operations for our organization. The Internal Remote Support Technician plays a vital role in maintaining our clients IT infrastructure and supporting our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Support: Provide remote technical assistance and support to our clients for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Incident Management: Respond promptly to IT incidents reported by staff members, resolving or escalating them as necessary.
- Hardware Maintenance: Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Network Connectivity: Ensure reliable and secure remote network connectivity. Troubleshoot connectivity issues and collaborate with network administrators as needed.
- Data Backup and Security: Implement and manage data backups.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of our client’s internal IT systems, processes, and configurations.
- User Training and Support: Provide training sessions and user support on internal IT tools and systems.
- IT Upgrades: Assist in evaluating and recommending new technologies and upgrades for client’s systems.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or technical training is a plus.
- **Proficient in Afrikaans and English.**:

- Previous experience in providing IT support.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Office 365, remote access tools, and firewalls.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing laptops, printers, and basic server knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

- Understanding of data backup procedures and information security best practices.

- Auto Task - Ticketing system
- IT Glue - Updating internal documentation
- Office 365 portal
