ROLE TITLE: GROUP PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

DEPARTMENT: PHARMACY

REPORTING STRUCTURE: SPECIALIST PROCUREMENT AND PROJECTS

ROLE SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Coordinator will support the Group Procurement Function and is responsible for a broad range of data analytics, administrative and support functions; these include, but are not limited to, data sourcing with internal and external comparatives, maintaining accurate records, screening and handling verbal and written correspondence and problem communications; acting as point of first contact for departmental staff; processing and maintaining administrative records, researching and compiling status reports and other reports, maintaining projects schedules, organizing meetings, and performing other duties as assigned. Effective internal and external communication being an integral function of this role. Planning, organising, leading and control are also integral aspects of the daily routine. In Addition, the incumbent will play a key role in building and maintaining Supplier Relationships.

SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or BCom (or Similar)

WORK EXPERIENCE
- Advanced skills with Microsoft, especially Excel
- 1-3 year’s experience in contract and/or RFR management and supplier interactions
- Understanding of Private Healthcare would be advantageous
- Hospital or pharmacy stock control and experience in an SAP would be advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service orientated with high working standards

KNOWLEDGE
- Plan organise and control own work environment by setting appropriate priorities and achieving set objectives within a given time frame.
- Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external customers.
- To be able to instil an Ethic of Quality and consistency in self and others.
