**Continuous Improvement Leader**

**PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE JOB**:
To Coordinate and Standardise APSYS & continuous improvement initiatives Position in the Organisation, as well as Specialist will drive and coordinate To Coordinate and Standardize APSYS & continuous improvement initiatives. APSYS Deployment - Animate, coordinate and challenge improvement actions to reach APSYS targets, APSYS toolbox to deliver operational performance & develop local best practices that will be share with the steering committee.

- TLS Management, Operations, Functional areas
- Operations teams - production, supply chain, industrial engineering, quality and business unit teams.
- Other - CI Leaders and APSYS Deployment managers.

**MEASUREMENT**
- APSYS Roadmap targets to plan
- Development of relevant KPIs
- Performance objectives

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To manage and lead business improvement projects including a Kaizen programme with formal planning and reporting
- To assist the designated depots in delivering business cases for improvements including costs & benefits
- To assist UK&I depots in delivering improvement initiatives through coaching, mentoring and kaizen event facilitation
- Report Monthly deployment status to Stakeholders and APSYS Central team
- Raise the profile of APSYS and develop and sustain a continuous improvement culture within the UK&I business.
- Support each department in APSYS Roadmap understanding through coaching, mentoring and providing expertise in APSYS tools
- To align the Business Plan Deployment to the APSYS Roadmaps
- To identify best practice within other areas of Alstom and/or externally
- To assist in delivering optimum efficiency in line with SPQDC Metrics

- Ensure that there is no harm to customers, colleagues or the general public.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
- Co-operate as far as necessary to enable Alstom Transport to discharge their statutory duties.
- Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of safety.

**In order to discharge safety responsibilities in a satisfactory manner you are required to**:

- Obey all of the Rules, Regulations and Instructions that are applicable to either the post, the post holder, or both.
- Obey instructions given by those in charge at places of work, except where you believe there is an imminent danger to yourself or others.
- Inform Local management immediately if others are not obeying relevant Rules, Regulations and Instructions.

**General Safety Responsibilities**

Safety must always be a prime consideration of every person and you are required to ensure that product safety, the safety of people and the environment is never compromised. To ensure compliance with the general elements of the Alstom Transport safety responsibility statements you will:

- Comply with any control measures that are implemented as a result of any Risk Assessment.
- Participate as required in the risk assessment process.
- Promptly report to your supervisor/manager all accidents, incidents, product safety issues and work-related ill health or near misses that you witness or are involved with.
