**Purpose of the Job**:

- To prepare and assist in financial accounting activities for Group companies in accordance with IFRS to ensure valid, accurate and complete accounting records.

**What you’ll have done before**:
Baseline:

- NQF Level 7 (Degree in Accounting or equivalent).
- 3 years’ experience in Finance functions.
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Knowledge.

Advantageous:

- Studying towards Honours
- 2 years of relevant SAP FI experience.

- Deliver excellence, amidst tight deadlines

**What you’ll be doing**:
Fixed Assets accounting: (85%)
- Review and monitor that the physical counts at identified sites are completed and that the necessary steps are taken to align physical asset counts to the ERP system ensuring that Engen's fixed asset register is accurate.
- Ensure invoices paid and reconciled, central cost centre accurately cleared on a monthly basis and cost centre reconciliation maintained.
- Monthly and quarterly - Ensure the fixed assets reconciliations and packs are updated and submitted within SLA and with the necessary quality requirements met.
- Yearly - Calculate the DRR provision and useful life reviews and ensure they done accurately and timeously.
- Ensuring that queries are logged and resolved timeously enabling meeting FSSC SLA's.
- Lease vehicles accurately capitalised and leased vehicles per asset register matches Stannic job file. Fixed asset registers are accurate with mínimal reconciling items.
- Changes to leased vehicle information is updated timeously.

General accounting: (15%)
- Monthly reconciliation and proof sheet review for balance sheet accounts;
- Monthly variance analysis performed on trial balance;
- Assist with IFRS16 reconciliations (RECESH to SAP)
- Assist in preparing annual financial statements (CaseWare and Word)
- Assist in business planning and quarterly submissions
- Ensure compliance with IFRS
- Perform adhoc analysis as required by management.
- Process adhoc journal entries as per SNOW requests
- Stannic motor vehicle reconciliations
