Sales Manager

**Introduction**
Our national client is looking for a Sales Manager to lead their 'Polokwane + Surrounds' team.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Identify and set sales targets per month.
Draw up a quarterly sales plan to ensure targets are met.
Manage, track and implement brand-specific sales plans. Ongoing revision of plan based on feedback.
Nurute and continously develop relationships with key stakeholders. Provide consistent, concise feedback.
Manage new product development and innovation.
Ensure stock availability and minimise OOS.
Maintain good shelf-health.
Ensure adherence to returns management policies.
Manage forward-share.
Manage all promotional activities.
Call cycle and scorecard management.
Take full responsibility for performance management of all team members (direct reports) - including recruitment, induction, development, performance management, succession planning, on-the-job training, knowledge sharing.
Compile Annual Budget for Region and submit to GM for approval.
Analyse monthly departmental budgeting and accounting reports and identify and control variances
Take appropriate action to ensure adherence to expense budgets.
Monthly budget compliation and reporting.
Ensure accurate salary input and monitor and control expense claims
New business development: be alert to competitor activity and potential tenders
Compile sales operational reports and submit to GM
Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
At least 10 years' experience in the FMCG sector.
Strong operational sales background, with a project management focus.
Willing to travel regularly, and on a National basis.
