To ensure that Construction & Forestry equipment is repaired and maintained, support and supervise technicians

**REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING**
- Grade 12
- Qualified Mechanisation Technician

**REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE**
- 5 years experience as a qualified Mechanisation Technician of which 3 years must be John Deere or Bell construction equipment experience

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Supervise all workshop activities to ensure quality workmanship in respect of the servicing and maintenance of construction and forestry equipment
- Recruit and appoint competent employees, manage and monitor employee performance standards, identify training and development needs and ensure fair disciplinary processes to address deviations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and that protective equipment is used as prescribed
- Build, manage and maintain sound relationships with internal and external clients and provide the necessary technical support to ensure the achievement of objectives
- Oversee work scheduling and safeguard tools and workshop equipment

**TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES**
- Valid driver’s license

- Lead the workshop team
- Understanding of agriculture, agricultural technology and farmers
