The Gallery Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the our small Stellenbosch art gallery:
**Sales & Administration Excellence**:

- Provide high-quality customer service and drive the bulk of sales.
- Gain thorough knowledge of the artists and products featured.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and professionalism.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Manage staff scheduling
- Handle bank deposits and petty cash purchases.
- Assist in store security and report any issues.
- Attend training for skill enhancement and familiarise with the company website to assist customers.

**Inventory Management and Stock Control**:

- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Recommend stock orders to management.
- Ensure correct pricing of stock items for display and sale.
- Coordinate the transfer of stock between galleries and manage product packaging for shipping.
- Oversee the unpacking of goods from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

**Cleaning & Merchandising Excellence**:

- Keep the storeroom, kitchen, and store windows clean and tidy.
- Maintain dust-free display areas and ensure artwork is displayed attractively.
- Organise and manage the storeroom efficiently and create promotional displays.

Pay: R50,00 - R55,00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
