- and long-term financial health and profit objectives in close co-operation with and support of the Managing Director.

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- SAP Experience is an added advantage,
- Microsoft Office - Intermediate to advanced
- Business and finance-related experience, especially in the Retail industry

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure the correct recordkeeping, processing, and administrative handling of all financial information in line with company guidelines and country legislation.
- The timeous preparation and submission of company reports and statutory returns.
- Preparing the annual financial budget, including the preparation of the capital expenditure plan, IT investment overview and overheads. Input to the sales budget as submitted by the various sales divisions.
- Completion of annual budget documents.
- Providing advice to the Managing Director in matters regarding the compilation and implementation of guidelines for the organisation of the Accounts department.
- Providing advice to the Managing Director in matters regarding the compilation and implementation of guidelines governing terms of payment and the solvency of and the issue of credit limits to customers.
- Providing advice to the Managing Director in matters regarding the compilation of investment and liquidity plans.
- Right of proposal and duty to advise on the choice of banking institutes.
- Maintenance of contact to departments and other international offices.
- Obligation to observe exchange rate developments and the duty to advise the Managing Director as to dates of payments for invoices issued.
- Responsibility (in conjunction with Product, Sales and Marketing Managers and the MD) for the preparation of all necessary information for the calculation of sales prices and operational margins in line with the company’s profit objectives and budgets
- Focused on the improvement of business systems and the development and strategy for cost efficiencies as required by the MD. At Present this is defined as F4G (Fit for Growth).
