Technical External Sales Rep

Our **Industrial Battery Client** is currently looking for a **Technical External Sales Rep** based in **Hillcrest/ Westmead**

**Knowledge, skills & abilities**
- Essential customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer literate: MS Office
- Well-spoken and presented (fluent in English)
- Persuasive, persistent and result driven

**Purpose**

To establish, develop and grow our trade and retail business. To handle the sales functions in a professional manner for customers by providing friendly, prompt and efficient service to achieve maximum sales and customer satisfaction. This would include website queries or diverts and is a 24/7 breakdown service.

**Key Performance Areas (KPAs)**
- Managing of existing and new accounts with regards to the sales of all products which include the building and maintaining of relationships with all customers, ensuring prompt and efficient feedback and service delivery.
- Call out & breakdown assistance
- Handling quotations & sales orders on a daily basis
- Visit potential customers in order to build brand awareness in the area.
- Responsible for your own van stock holding
- Provide product training to customers
- Assist and resolve customer complaints
- Expedite customer lead through cold calling
- Analyse market protentional track sales & status reports
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets & outcomes within schedule
- Other duties reasonably relating to this position
- Be involved in customer activation days if necessary.

Salary is Market Related depending on experience

R15 000 -R18 000 basic - Salary

Basic plus quarterly commission, with company vehicle and cellphone.

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- product training to customers: 3 years (required)
- industrial battery or electrical sales: 1 year (preferred)
- External Sales: 3 years (required)
- New business sales: 3 years (required)
- Handling quotations & sales orders on a daily basis: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Code 8 + car (required)
