**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct field research and trials to evaluate new crop varieties and production methods.
- Provide technical advice to farmers on crop selection, planting, fertilization, and pest management.
- Develop and implement soil management plans to improve crop yields and soil health.
- Conduct soil testing and analysis to determine nutrient deficiencies and other soil problems.
- Prepare reports and presentations on agricultural research and practices.
- Work with other agricultural professionals to develop and implement new crop production programs.

**Key Skills**:

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong understanding of agronomy principles and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the agricultural industry.
- Experience with soil testing and analysis.
- 3-5 years experience in the seed industry

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
