**Overall Purpose of the job**:
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the management and analysis of data on the MapInfo system in order to provide concise geographical mapping and reporting to internal stakeholders.
**Minimum qualifications and experience**:
- Matric
- 3 years experience
- A Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Analytics or Marketing is advantageous.
- SQL experience.
- An understanding of, or experience in data filtering, manipulation and presentation.
- Excellent administration abilities, including planning and organizing.
- Excellent Analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skill level.
- Advanced PowerPoint skill level.
- Microsoft Access skill level.
**Main duties & Responsibilities**:
- Day-to-day management, operation and maintenance of a desktop GIS system called MapInfo for which training will be provided.
- The management and delivery of maps and associated analysis as per requests from the various internal business units.
- Creating thematic and topological maps for plotting and dissemination.
- Maintaining systems and user interfaces of capturing, integration and dissemination of spatial data.
- Preparing and manipulating of spatial attribute data and business attribute data.
- Data analysis and map creation using MapInfo Professional.
- Geo-coding of data on an ongoing, as well as Ad-hoc basis.
- Digitizing and creating of areas using the tools provided within MapInfo Professional.
- Compiling & submitting IT change request forms on an Ad-Hoc basis.
- Analysis and interpretation of data.
- Trend analysis.
