Bed Foundation Phase Lecturer

An independent provider of tertiary education, the Centre for Creative Education equips future teachers with relevant, reflexive, ethical practice in education and self-development through furthering imaginative, innovative, arts and activity-based learning and teaching approaches. We strive to empower future teachers to meet their vocation with love, expertise, integrity, and professionalism and are searching for a permanent part-time lecturer for our Bachelor of Education programme of study.

**Purpose of Job**: BEd foundation phase lecturer (Waldorf specialisation)

**Permanent part-time contract start date**: Ideally immediate or negotiable starting date

**Responsibilities**:
Teach undergraduate students primarily in the courses which focus on Waldorf principles and methodologies
Contribute and collaborate with other courses as part of the integrated approach of the BEd Foundation Phase degree
Fulfil different components of the teaching practice experience for example student preparation, mentoring and supervision

**Minimum requirements**:
A minimum qualification of a B.Ed. Honours degree or BEd Foundation Phase with a commitment to postgraduate studies
A minimum of three years teaching in a Waldorf School
Teaching experience at primary school level, Foundation Phase whether Waldorf or public schools and/or Higher Education

**The following competencies will be a further advantage**:
Experience teaching (or supporting teachers) in adult education or higher education
Lecturing in Foundation Phase
Curriculum development or learning and teaching materials development
