Our client based in Hammarsdale, is seeking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager. Reporting to the Site Director, this role will co-ordinate all supply chain activities for the site in close collaboration with Group Procurement and Group S&OP functions.

Covering site purchasing, scheduling, warehousing and distribution, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for:

- Setting out the site (local) supply chain strategy
- Supporting the negotiation of specific raw material contracts
- Ensuring smooth supply of all raw materials to the site in conjunction with group purchasing
- Ensuring that the plants are utilised effectively through sound scheduling practices in conjunction with the group demand planners
- Management of inventory to ensure that working capital is used effectively whilst ensuring customer supply
- Manage warehousing and distribution as well as to ensure finished goods are shipped safely and on time
- Responsible for and manage all site supply chain KPIs
- A degree, or equivalent qualification, in Supply Chain management and/or Logistics
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport or Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply plus MCIPS (level 5), or equivalent, is an advantage
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior Supply Chain Management role is essential
- Experience working in the chemical industry and demonstrable experience of Warehouse Management Systems is desirable
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to develop and manipulate data in worksheets with pivot tables, v-lookup
