**The Position**

As a Clinical Innovation Manager, you will be leading implementation of new HQ/regional clinical digital solutions across CDC South Africa through close cooperation with CDC and Affiliate management, SEEMEA and HQ team. You will be driving implementation of new clinical systems and processes as well as local innovation / improvement projects in CDC. You will directly report to CDC Director of South Africa.

Your main accountabilities will be:

- Being the primary contact and implementation lead for HQ/regional CMR improvement projects in CDC South Africa.
- Implementing risk mitigation and communication plans to ensure successful adoption of clinical systems in CDC South Africa.
- Building and maintaining a network of change partners and/or Subject Matter Experts/Superusers in CDC South Africa to support end users for new clinical systems.
- Driving local innovation and improvement projects in CDC, fostering an organization-wide ecosystem for generating innovative ideas, developing business cases, leading projects from ideation to implementation, and engaging with relevant vendors.

**Qualifications**
- Life Sciences Degree, ideally with a post graduate qualification in Research
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in clinical research as CRA or in Project Management
- Proven experience of conducting clinical trials in accordance with GCP methodology
- Desirable experience in multinational environments, liaising with overseas colleagues
- Risk based monitoring experience
- Excellent IT proficiency: Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, & applicable clinical trials systems
- Strong clinical digital system/process experience
- Good knowledge of GCP and Pharma Business

**About the Department**

Working with the clinical trial team in South Africa and collaborating across SEEMEA and International Operations. You will join an expanding dedicated clinical team of Clinical professionals on a mission to create better treatments and care for patients with Diabetes, Obesity, Rare Disease and the new therapeutic areas (Cardiovascular Diseases, Alzheimer’s Disease, NASH, Sickle Cell Disease) that Novo Nordisk is investing in.
