**Assistant Security Manager Job Description**

The Assistant Security Manager will assist the Security Manager to effectively manage CCTV surveillance security Control Room to ensure the protection of company assets, clients and staff, following company policies and procedures. Manage the security team and ensure high performance and standards are maintained

**Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To**

1. Control and Management of Control Room and Staff
- Assist the Security Manager in taking responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the entire Control Room service.
- Ensure all protocols are followed, documented security processes are efficient and effective and are conducted at the highest level of professional service to Camera Surveillance Service clients
- Manage the effectiveness of the Shift Supervisors and security services provider performance
- Manage corrective action procedures to reinstate camera malfunction and ensure IT tickets are generated
- Follow up and ensure all analytic testing is done timeously. Review the analytic test footage and ensure that the tests are being conducted to the correct standards
- Ensure that on and offsite training completed with the Operators

**2. **Supervision of Maintenance of Security Equipment**
- Assist in the supervision of maintenance of security monitoring equipment
- Co-responsible for the setup and effective analytical rules on monitoring equipment
- Ensure that all cameras and recording equipment is functional
- Confirm that all analytical setup protocols on CCTV equipment are enforced to exercise effective monitoring

**3. **Manage Resources and Functions in the Control Room**
- Co-responsible for the provision of applicable resources to ensure that the functionality of the Control Room is not compromised
- Manage emergencies, ensuring that the correct protocols are followed Training and induction for new Security Officers, Supervisors and Staff on site.
- Promote and maintain staff security awareness so that a safe and secure environment is provided and maintained.
- monitor all unauthorized vandalism and removal of property
- review and report accidents/incidents that happened within the vicinity
- Ensure all incidents are correctly logged
- Control measures are put in place to minimise incidents

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- PSIRA Grade B
- Related qualification advantageous

Experience & Knowledge
- 3 years’ experience within supervisory / management level in a similar role
- Proven experience as a Security Shift Manager or similar role in a CCTV control room/CCTV

management and additional security systems

Skills & Attributes
- Excellent communication (Verbal and written)
- Sound knowledge of CCTV hardware and software - analytics. Computer Literate
- Fire/Alarm Panels
- Beam alarms
- CCTV & Networking technical knowledge
- Team management ability
- Good administration and organisational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle conflict
- Strong interpersonal skills

**Specific Requirements**
- No criminal record
- Contactable references
- Vaccinated against covid-19 or prepared to be vaccinated prior to commencing job
