An exciting opportunity for an **Camera Analytics Operator / Assistant Security Manager **has become available at the Faircape Group.

The Assistant Security Manager will assist the Security Manager to effectively manage CCTV surveillance security Control Room to ensure the protection of company assets, clients and staff, following company policies and procedures.

**Duties **wi**ll include but are not limited to**:

- Day-to-day triage, analysis, and mitigation of security threats, approached in a holistic strategic manner.
- Direct ownership and management of crisis (or incident), to include dispatch, response, and reporting of internal resources.
- Utilize specialized computer systems to meticulously monitor emergency and life-safety systems and alarms, such as fire detection, weather and environmental sensors, intrusion detection, access control, and security cameras.
- Access control, camera surveillance and intrusion detection management.
- Fire system monitoring, imminent threat and mass notification.
- Continuous improvement of standard operating procedures as environment changes.
- Provide quality resolution to assigned projects as delegated by leadership.
- Provide investigative support by undertaking administrative and evidence gathering functions, to include reporting and security technology output analysis and retention.
- Provide technical support in security technology and service solutions.
- Provide compliant security services and solutions.
**Control and Management of Control Room and Staff**
- Assist the Security Manager in taking responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the entire Control Room service.
- Ensure all protocols are followed, documented security processes are efficient and effective and are conducted at the highest level of professional service to Camera Surveillance Service clients
- Manage the effectiveness of the Shift Supervisors and security services provider performance
- Manage corrective action procedures to reinstate camera malfunction and ensure IT tickets are generated
- Follow up and ensure all analytic testing is done timeously. Review the analytic test footage and ensure that the tests are being conducted to the correct standards
- Ensure that on and offsite training completed with the Operators
- Constantly re-assess control room procedures
- Ensure that the outsourced camera operators are trained in the latest surveillance procedures and that the outsourced providers regularly test the competencies of the staff provided
**Supervision of Maintenance of Security Equipment**
- Assist in the supervision of maintenance of security monitoring equipment
- Co-responsible for the setup and effective analytical rules on monitoring equipment
- Ensure that all cameras and recording equipment is functional
- Confirm that all analytical setup protocols on CCTV equipment are enforced to exercise effective monitoring
**Manage Resources and Functions in the Control Room**
- Co-responsible for the provision of applicable resources to ensure that the functionality of the Control Room is not compromised
- Manage emergencies, ensuring that the correct protocols are followed
- Ensure all incidents are correctly logged
- Control measures are put in place to minimise incidents

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- PSIRA Grade A
- Related qualification advantageous
**Experience & Knowledge**:

- 3 years’ experience within supervisory / management level in a similar role
- Proven experience as a Security Shift Manager or similar role in a CCTV control room/CCTV management and additional security systems
**Skills & Attributes**:

- Computer literate
- Sound knowledge of CCTV hardware and software - analytics

**Specific Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against covid-19 or prepared to be vaccinated prior to commencing work

Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45 minute lunch break. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi time between 07h00 and 18h00.

With centrally located and modern offices just across from Cavendish in Claremont, Faircape offers a market-related salary from R 30,000.00 Cost to Company per month.
