**COPYWRITER - CAMPUS JOURNALIST**

Berea Group of Colleges has a great opportunity for a creative Copywriter and Campus Journalist to write clear and concise online and print copy for ads, publications, newsletters, social media, websites etc. Your words must inform and engage our main target audience of students and parents. You must have excellent people and interviewing skills as you interact with students for campus news.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice
- Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
- Collaborate with designers, PR and other department heads
- Conduct research and interviews
- Edit and proofread copy as needed
- Source images and other content
- Move between campuses to cover student news
- Ability to work on Saturdays or extra hours when required

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Qualification in journalism, Public Relations or related field
- Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
- Knowledge of online content and creation
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Experience with SEO
- Strong research skills
- Creativity
- Collaborative spirit
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills
- Team player
