Compliance Officer

Game Reserve in the Montagu area is looking for a Compliance Officer. The Compliance Officer supports the CEO and plays an important role in ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and standards. This role is responsible for assisting with ensuring all relevant corporate governance principals are implemented across the organisation and reporting back to the Board of Directors. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the updating and safekeeping of Contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), policies, maintaining comprehensive records, overseeing insurance matters, as well as monitoring of action plans and adherence to timelines on behalf of the CEO.

This role collaborates with all departments to ensure ethical practices are maintained at all times.

**Requirements**:

- BCom Business Administration or equivalent
- Certification in Compliance advantageous
- 5+ years of previous experience in a Compliance role
- Proficient in the standards of Corporate Governance used in South Africa
- Ability to interpret legal documents and regulations
- Ability to anticipate future circumstances, conditions and requests and to use these scenarios to plan for the future
- Ability to comprehend and develop and communicate Compliance concepts
- Ability to effectively communicate detailed information and instructions to others
- Operates comfortably in an environment where strategic thought and long-term planning are required
- Ability to recognise data security concerns
- Takes accountability for the performance of the compliance functions of the company
- Ability to solve problems with flexibility and innovation
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
- Excellent analytical skills
