**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct policy research and analysis on infrastructure development, transportation systems, and urban planning initiatives, with a focus on promoting sustainability, resilience, and equity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify emerging challenges and opportunities in infrastructure policy, including the integration of innovative technologies and best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies, regulations, and investment strategies related to infrastructure and transportation, and recommend reforms to enhance outcomes and maximize societal benefits.
- Prepare policy briefs, reports, and presentations that communicate research findings, policy recommendations, and best practices to policymakers, stakeholders, and the public.
- Engage with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and civil society organizations to facilitate dialogue, build partnerships, and advocate for evidence-based policy solutions.
- Monitor legislative developments, funding opportunities, and international trends in infrastructure policy and transportation planning, and assess their implications for our research and advocacy efforts.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Public Policy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Strong background in infrastructure design, construction, and management, with knowledge of transportation engineering principles, land use planning, and environmental impact assessment.
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, research design, and quantitative methods, including proficiency in data analysis software and geographic information systems (GIS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and decision-makers from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working in government agencies, consulting firms, or research organizations on infrastructure projects or policy initiatives is desirable.
- Passion for addressing social and environmental challenges through evidence-based policy solutions and a commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in decision-making processes.

**Salary**: R20 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
