You will be responsible for the following:
Provide a secretarial/receptionist support service to the manager
Telephone duties: polite, professional interactions with clients, effective screening and problem resolution, co-ordination of appointments, meetings and client contact
Records appointment and events in the diary of the manager
Effective drafting of appropriate correspondence, preparation and typing of dictation, letters, notes, opinions, presentations and other documents, including the formatting of documents and tracking changes
Liaises with travel agencies to make travel arrangements. Checks the arrangements when the relevant documents are received
Efficient handling of all correspondence including: sending/receiving mail, processing courier, registered mail; sending/receiving faxes;
Arrange meetings and events for the manager and the staff in the unit. Identifies venues, invites role players, organises refreshments and sets up schedules for meetings and events
Assisting with general departmental administration such as scanning, photocopying, compiling files of documents and assisting with preparation for, amongst others, inquiries/investigations and consultations with counsel and clients
Managing electronic and physical client/matter folders, including the opening and closing of client/matter files
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
Matric
One to two years’ experience as a Legal Secretary
Experience in High Court and Magistrate's Court Litigation & Road Accident Fund procedures will be adv
A high standard of typing, competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Able to produce accurate high-quality work in a timely manner
Able to manage time efficiently and use initiative
Be proactive and prioritise activities according to level of urgency
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
Displays a professional approach and maintains Firm and client confidentiality at all times
Able to remain calm under pressure during periods of high work volumes and strict time frames
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Possess well-developed interpersonal and professional telephone etiquette
A team player and a willingness to work for various professionals
A professional, flexible and friendly disposition
Sense of absolute confidentiality, urgency and ability to work under pressure
Excellent typing skills, including formatting various documents
Strong administration and organisational skills
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: R9,000.00 - R11,000.00 per month
