**Position Summary**:
The Project Director provides project leadership and management expertise to the design and execution of Duke CE’s executive educational programs and is responsible for overseeing project deliveries and exercising quality control over client deliveries ensuring their commerciality. The project director also participates in client accounts and business development.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. People leadership
- Inspire and lead the team to superior performance and engagement
- Support the development plans of the team and ensure appropriate onboarding, performance evaluations and feedback and career path support & advocacy
- Incorporate development of team members and self into daily client work and routines; and creates opportunities for feedback between all team members
- Act as the lynchpin of the teams to the clients and client owners
- Support the highest professional standards and uphold Duke CE values.

2. Project leadership
- Hold team accountable and provide the support, example, counsel and advice, picking up the slack where needed and supporting sustainable #premier experience in clients
- Translate a learning programme design into a high-level project plan including resource planning to ensure quality delivery
- Maintain regular contact with client, often as main point of day-to-day contact, manage and chair meetings with appropriate project management tools and client relationship management. Document, execute, and report back on client actions to the satisfaction of the client.
- Drive milestones and manage touchpoint client check ins and manage the delivery of high-quality outputs on time and to budget with client. Drive client decision-making through robust planning for decisions required and provide client options for decision. Manage risks and issues with the client proactively.

3. Stakeholder leadership
- Proactively engage stakeholders and provide thought leadership to clients and partners
- Owns the day-to-day interactions with the client; creates guidelines for communication frequency; understands client’s wants/needs and manages these expectations
- Full partnership with stakeholders to understand their business; stays on top of business challenges and trends
- Identifies potential risks and challenges with client relationships

4. Project delivery oversight
- Meets project deadlines and ensure quality through AAR, NPS and client feedback. Leverages feedback (NPS, AAR) to initiate any changes to improve project delivery and quality.
- Co-create and manage project budgets and invoicing schedule
- Owns the contracting process
- Partner with Managing Director, Program Manager, and internal resources (contracting, accounting, CCT) to ensure proper project sourcing and execution
- Source, vet, and manage external educators and faculty to optimize their contributions and experience ensuring the flow of project information in a timely manner
- Partner with digital learning group on virtual and blended deliveries; operates as Social Community Manager to facilitate digital dialog and interaction in platform on projects

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required; advanced degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years prior experience, including Project Management and CRM experience, preferably in a professional services environment and preferably with a formal project management qualification
- Experience working with remote/virtual/hybrid teams
- Proficiency with MS Projects, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and D365.
- Requires travel both domestically and globally
