Publicity Officer

Responsibilities for this position is as follows,

**Media interaction (publicity management and reporting)**:

- Answering queries.
- Preparing media statements
- Relationship-building & -management.
- Pitching angles for exposure to secure coverage around relevant NMC events/activity.
- Sourcing relevant client feedback/comment (interviews, quotes, approvals) for media requests.
- Expand media partner loyalty (research & engage new media opportunities).
- Deadline management.
- **Media partner management (print, online, TV - various outlets)**:

- Developing, writing, editing/proofing, and compiling content.
- Sourcing materials for publication.
- Winner management (weekly ticket trade exchanges).
- Client liaison to ensure most effective usage of tradex-space.
- NM/distibutor/media liaison to consolidate all relevant content/info approvals pre-exposure

**Client management**:

- Regular updates/reporting on work progress.
- Source briefs/client interaction/collaboration.
- Synergise PR planning with broader marketing strategy.
- Generate pro-active publicity opportunities:

- Brand positioning (4DX, Xtreme, new cinemas, experiential coverage)
- Business/trade (coverage around marketing campaigns or business development)
- Consumer (content-focus within NM context)
- **Planning**:

- Weekly/monthly media partner schedule.
- Identify key focus areas to develop PR strategy:

- Promote, build, and protect Nu Metro brand identity in media space.
- New releases in specialist formats.
- Title focusses as per marketing brief.
- New sites.
- Events (GNO, premiere, sneaks).
- Other projects as per marketing brief.

**Releases**:

- Writing/editing.
- Research.
- Client approval-management.
- Distribute to all relevant media (online, print, TV, radio).
- Media follow-up to secure exposure

**Social media**:

- Assist with social media posts and replies as and when needed.
- Assist Social media coordinator and guide as and when needed.

**Salary**: R17,500.00 per month

**Experience**:

- publicity: 4 years (preferred)
