- Our client is seeking a dedicated HV BESS (High Voltage Battery Energy Storage Systems) Business Development Executive to drive the business expansion and develop the market across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. A current pipeline already exists, and it now needs further development, expansion and customer management.
- Duties and responsibilities (Job Description
- To create and manage the Sales pipeline for the HV 2nd life BESS.
- Familiarize yourself with all products and services offered.
- Build the sales projects and work with HV BESS technical team to ensure the targets are met.
- Seek out new HV BESS opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media, and by crossing industry and business sectors.
- Follow-up and close leads that are received from internal sales and other sources.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals and tender responses for potential customers.
- Set department strategy to find new prospect projects and clients. Setting up meetings with potential clients and listening to their wishes and concerns
- To administrate HV BESS projects from conception to Handover.
- To manage the HV Relationships with External clients and End users that Sales staff are finding/creating.
- Provide reliable and regular sales forecasts.
- To timeously get quotes, financials, and technical details out to the client. Close the deal.
- To explore the HV world and ensure a good technical foundation and reputation.
- Ensure that R&D are making the right hardware and software for the future HV Demand and ensure backward compatibly.
- Conducting market research and get the inside information from, and about, competitors HV projects and designs, in time for response.
- Introduce new products and versions to the market.
- Develop departmental budgets and monitor expenditure against budget.

Minimum requirements:

- Tertiary qualification
- HV system design/ operations experience.
- Extensive Sales and Business development experience.
- Key account management.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- BESS System Proposal writing.
- Good Comms skills.
- BESS system costing and configuration modelling.
- Technical Writing.
- Proposal and tender preparation.
- Probation period
- A 3-month probation period will apply.
