The Communications Specialist at Valenture Institute plays a key and passionate role in ensuring that clear, proactive, engaging, personalised and consistent communication is delivered to our customers (parents and students). As such, this role directly contributes to parent and student advocacy.

Communications Team:
The Communications Specialist will join a small and fast-paced team. This role will support with creating, editing, managing and delivering communications to all parents and students from the point of paid placement fee right up until final certification.

This role reports to the Communication Manager, works closely with the Communication Coordinator and Engagement Manager and collaborates effectively across different departments and schools (dependent on the tasks at hand).
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Communications Specialist will need to source and assimilate key information and updates (across various departments) while ensuring that communications are set up and managed correctly. This role, therefore, requires focused task management, excellent communication skills, effective collaboration with colleagues and the ability to remain agile and responsive while multi-tasking.

The Communications Specialist is constantly looking to understand Valenture’s internal operations through the eyes of a parent and a student, ensuring that the end customer receives timeous communication and feels supported along the way.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

- Create and maintain learner and guardian lists on CRM platforms (e.g. Klaviyo, Salesforce, Intercom)
- Create, maintain and enhance communication templates on all of our CRM platforms (e.g. Klaviyo, Intercom)
- Set up and schedule ad hoc and recurring campaigns
- Work with tech/product team in implementing, testing and managing automation strategy
- Effectively and efficiently manage communication requests across product verticals
- Monitor communication metrics, report back on performance and use this data to work with the Communication Manager to shift strategy
- Work with the Communication Coordinator and Engagement Manager on daily tasks
- Support with process improvement within the communication team
- Support with strategy development, implementation and improvement
- Work with Mentors/Support Coaches to identify frequently asked questions and proactively suggest new parent/student support articles/content
- Assist in the coordination of copy creation (including graphics) to communication deliverypecialist

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing or PR
- Minimum of 3-5 years work experience, in a communications role
- Experience working with CRM platforms (list management, template creation, campaign set-up and testing)
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills
- A passion for communicating proactively, effectively and consistently with customers
- Adept at working cross-functionally to bring about change
- Analytical skills in working with quantitative and qualitative data
