**DIRECTOR: RESIDENCE ADMINISTRATION**
The University of Limpopo is seeking a Director in Residence Administration to ensure
the effective and efficient management, administration, planning, organisation,
monitoring, supervising and evaluation of the residence in line with the policies and
regulations of the institution***
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for strategic activities of the department including the Annual
Performance Plan.***
- Develop, review and enforce policies and procedures.
- Ensure operational leadership and execution.
- Facilitate and monitor the improvement of student residence facilities,
programmes and systems to improve student services.
- Encourage collaboration within the Departments and partnerships within the
division and beyond to improve excellence in the Department.
- Facilitate and manage the human resource performance management plans
within the Department.
- Establish strategic performance, planning and evaluation systems in the
department.
- Develop and review strategies that promote community engagement and
formal partnerships**.**
- **-**Develop and monitor departmental budget to ensure viable and sustainable
financial systems**.**
- Be responsible for compliance in relation to Finance and Resource
Management**.**

**REQUIREMENTS**
**Qualifications**
- A relevant NQF 8 qualification in Social Sciences, Education,Public
Administration or any relevant qualification.
**Experience**
- A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in the tertiary education
sector of which, at least 4 years must be in a senior and strategic
leadership position in residence administration.
- Knowledge and experience in the changing higher education
landscape nationally and internationally and its effect on Residence
Administration.
- An in-depth understanding of budgetary procedures, financial
accountability and sustainability, public-management processes,
information systems and technology.
- Proven record of accomplishment in leading a team of personnel at different
operational levels.
- Knowledge and experience of working with on-campus and off
- campus students in a professional support environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of student life in residences and residence
administration related services, strategic functions, assessment.***
- Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing strategies and
systems aimed at good governance with an institutional setup, at departmental
and inter-departmental level.***
