Job Title: Checker/Dispatcher - Order Checking and Dispatching

Job Summary: As a Checker/Dispatcher - Order Checking and Dispatching, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of merchandise from the head office to various branches. Your primary responsibility will be to check orders received from the head office and prepare them for dispatch to the respective branches. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy and meeting customer demands. You will work closely with the head office team, warehouse staff, and branch managers to ensure timely and efficient distribution of stock.

**Responsibilities**:
Order Checking:

- Thoroughly examine orders received from the head office to verify their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
- Cross-reference order details with inventory records and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Conduct quality control checks on products to ensure they meet the required standards.

Stock Dispatch:

- Ensure proper labelling, documentation, and tagging of dispatched items.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule and arrange transportation of stock to the designated branches.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatched stock, including tracking information and delivery status.
- Address any delivery-related issues, such as delays, damages, or missing items, by liaising with relevant stakeholders.

Inventory Management:

- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the stockroom area.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Effectively communicate with the head office team and warehouse staff.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in retail operations or logistics is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Physical stamina to handle the lifting and moving of stock, as well as standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or extended hours when required.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Alberton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- Order and Dispatching clerk: 1 year (required)
