JOB PURPOSE

The main purpose of this role is to own the implementation of the marketing strategy and the management of the marketing budget. This includes the compiling and execution of the media plan and commercial calendar.

JOB FUNCTIONS

**Owning the implementation of the marketing strategy**
- Using the guidance of the marketing EXCO and the Brand Custodian compile the marketing plan
- Execute the marketing plan on time and within budget
- Communicate the progress of the marketing plan to all stakeholders

**Commercial calendar**
- With the guidance of the Sales Team and Brand Custodian, compile the commercial calendar
- Own the execution of the commercial calendar ensuring that deadlines are met on time and within budget
- Communicate the progress of the commercial calendar to all stake holders

**Media plan**
- With guidance from the brand custodian, compile the media plan that includes Emporiums, Farm Shop, national brands and websites
- Own the execution of this media plan on time and within budget
- Ensure that digital media and print media is executed in full, with an extreme eye for detail, on time and in budget.
- Communicate the progress of the media plan to all stake holders

**Marketing project management**
- Own the execution of marketing projects flowing from the marketing strategy, marketing EXCO meetings and NPD process certain projects are initiated.
- Ensure that these projects are completed on time and within budget
- Communicate the progress of these projects to all stake holders

**Content management**
- According to brief, oversee the timely creation of content with internal team members and external service providers.
- Coordinate the creators of photography, video and scriptwriting.
- Content management for internal emporium training videos and manuals

**Team Management**
- Help and support a world class marketing team through positive management skills.
- Build the team’s capacity for efficiency through improving internal and external marketing process
- Build strong communication channels within the team and between other departments

**Packaging**
- Coordinate the quoting process for each packaging project
- Coordinate the printing timelines through from design to print with extreme eye for detail
- Ensure that all new packaging projects and packaging designs are kept to time frames and communicated to all stake holders
- Keep an eye on costs of plates and assets within the printing process held by suppliers
- Understand the printing process in order to cut unnecessary costs
- Support graphics with communication of packaging changes

**Emporium marketing**
- Work with the Brand Custodian and the National Emporiums Manager to create and manage an Emporium Marketing Plan
- Execute the Emporium Marketing Plan on time and within budget.

**Events and activations**
- Bring opportunities for regional Emporium activations, brand activations and target market related events to the Brand Custodian
- Project manage agreed events, activations, and Emporium activities.

**Sponsorships**
- Funnel all sponsorship requests through marketing EXCO or brand custodian and execute accordingly.

**Collaborations**
- Research and present opportunities for brand collaborations and competitions to the Brand Custodian
- Project manage collaborations and competitions.

**Giving back**
- Support the internal and external communication regarding our giving back projects.

**Trade support**
- Ensure product launches are communicated and executed on time and to budget
- Manage the quoting process and communicate the ordering of all promotional material and point of sale stands to EXCO and departments
- Support the sales team with marketing specific related data

**Consumer insights and competitor reviews**
- In close collaboration with the brand custodian and the sales team, research and compile consumer data.
- In close collaboration with sales and the brand custodian, research and compile competitor analysis and reviews.
