**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our marketing team. As a Marketing and Communications Assistant, you will support the marketing team in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and communications strategies to increase brand awareness and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and other team members to help create compelling marketing materials and execute marketing initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with the head of marketing and communications to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to support organisational objectives.
- Strategise and implement a diverse range of digital marketing campaigns from basic SEO-related tasks such as keyword identification to overseeing design creatives for display and paid social media campaigns.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver creative marketing campaigns in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for radio, TV, print and outdoor media.
- Secure advertising space.
- Liaise with Social Media Manager to manage all social media channels, content and calendar, including sourcing content, writing engaging copy, briefing designer, overseeing design and video assets, and compiling social calendar.
- Assist in the development of marketing collateral including printed brochures, flyers and pamphlets.
- Manage Marketing Budget
- Co-ordinate, draft and distribute the internal monthly staff newsletter.
- Co-ordinate media and stakeholder events, including logistics, supplier management, quotes, catering, AV/Audio, branding, gifts/ merchandise, invitations, RSVPs and stakeholder engagement.
- Engage and Manage internal stakeholders in the business for comms purposes
- Assist with writing engaging content for the marketing and communications materials including press releases, calendar, and the annual review.
- Liaise with media to build relationships, answer media queries, secure interviews and media coverage
- Source quotes and negotiate discounts/ in-kind support from various suppliers.
- Create weekly and monthly reports tracking performance of all campaigns, social and traditional media performance.
- Monitor performance against set metrics, analyse data, and recommend strategies for improvement (engagement, lead generation and conversions).
- Manage the website including updating, editing, and refreshing the website as needed
- Oversee and coordinate all branding and production requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a B2B or technology-related industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience with social media management and content creation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Entrepreneurial energy

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R14,000.00 - R18,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg North, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
