Program Support Officer

The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of **Program Support Officer.**
Under the supervision of the Senior Program Officer, MSMEs, the Program Support Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day project activities related to the selection and support of MSMEs within the 100,000 MSMEs Initiative and related projects. This role includes planning, procurement, travel coordination, meeting organization, data collection, and analysis to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the project in alignment with African Union procurement methods and standards.
**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Solid knowledge and expertise in project cycle management.
- Solid knowledge and expertise in procurement cycle management in public institutions.
- Ability to present analytical reports.
- Ability to identify and contribute to the solution of problems/issues.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness.
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision, be proactive, initiative, and with sound judgment.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
- High level of integrity and accountability, flexible approaches to work coupled with enthusiasm, commitment, and energy.
- Ability to leverage limited resources and staff for maximum impact.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.
- Ability to co-develop solutions to resourcing needs of African MSMEs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment
- Ability to conduct independent research and data collection on global and regional economic, social, and development issues.
- Excellent working knowledge of data management
- Excellent working knowledge of Procurement management systems and regulations in the public sector.
- Experience working with AU or other international development organizations would be an advantage.
**Education and Experience**
A Bachelors’ degree in Business Management, Economics, Project Management, Procurement, Computer Science or related fields with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience with relevant procurement support team within a project, and with experience in evaluation and/or assessment of submissions and projects, within the public sector, multilateral institutions, and international non-governmental or similar organizations regionally and/or internationally.
**Remuneration**:Indicative basic salary of US$28 976.97 per annum plus other entitlements e.g. Post Adjustment (57% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($21,832.68 per annum), gratuity (15% of gross salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
