Our client based in Cape Town is looking for an Internal Broker/ Corporate Underwriter that is FIAS compliant, has their RE5 and has 3 years underwriting experience to join their team.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Permanent

SECTOR : Insurance

BASIC SALARY : Market Related

START DATE : A.S.A.P / Immediate

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3 + years corporate underwriting experience
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Matric or Equivalent
- RE5 - NON NEGOTIABLE
- FAIS compliant (credits and/or full qualification)

**DUTIES**:

- Take appropriate action to minimize cancellations
- Ensure retention targets are met
- Ensure and contribute to minimization of general expenses
- Ensure that all stakeholder (e.g. clients, AE’s, insurers) communication is accurate, timeous, professional and relevant
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targets
- General Enquiries such as but not limited to cover, products, processes
- New Business, Renewals, Endorsements and Re-broke
- Create a risk profile
- Analyze clients’ portfolios
- Conduct a cover assessment
- Request, obtain and assess quotes from insurers
- Request, obtain and/or provide clients with all required information and/or documents
- Arrange valuations and reinsurance
- Raise premiums
- File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy
- Follow retention processes
- Cancel the policy on the system
- Confirm cancellation request with the client
- File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy
- Raise invoices
- Request refunds from line manager electronically
- File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy
- Ensure claims are managed according to set processes
- Keep diary up to date at all times
- Ensure that surveys and valuations are received within agreed time lines
- Ensure effective complaint resolution within the required time lines
- Ensure service level agreements are met
- Ensure productivity targets are met
- Contribute towards and ensure continuous improvement in own and team performance
- Adhere to company mandates
- Participate and contribute in ad hoc projects
- Report any suspected fraud, misrepresentation and/or dishonesty
- Live the RBS values
- Ensure continuous self-development
- Ensure objectives of own development plans are achieved
- Share information and knowledge with the team
- Ensure productivity and quality assurance targets are met
