Head: Accounting

Our international client is recruiting an Accounting Head who will have the primary focus to oversee the monthly financial reporting to head office and manage a finance team.

The Head of Accounting will ensure that the accounting and financial records of the company are complete, accurate and meet the IFRS Statement Requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

- Preparation and submission of the annual budget to the group office.
- Budget clearing meetings locally with department heads and International with Excom.
- Monitoring / Tracking Actual results against budget.
- Presentation of monthly financial performance report to local management.
- Monthly departmental reports
- Quarterly submission of Financial reports (comments) to the group.
- Processing and reconciling payroll monthly.
- Review Bi
- weekly and monthly supplier payment and release bank payments.
- Reviewing and maintain the company’s accounting records.
- Review all accounting journals processed.
- Review for unusual transactions monthly.
- Review and assist the accounting team with preparation and submission of the Monthly Reporting.
- Supervising and assist the team with preparation and submission of the monthly financial reporting.
- Monthly balance sheet recon reviews.
- Preparing schedule for the income tax returns.
- Preparation and submission of Income tax return reconciliation.
- Submission of the provisional taxes.
- Monthly calculations of income tax and deferred tax.
- Preparation of the annual financial statement.
- Ad hoc financial reports.
- Assist in Day to Day Operations of the business.
- Custodian of the fixed asset register.
- Submission & compliance with the SARB quarterly returns.
- Management and leading the finance team.
- Any ad hoc duties as and when required.
