Knowledge Base Administrator

Role Purpose
Responsible for supporting and executing knowledge management strategies and systems that enable business to have access to information that is easily accessible and enhance business success.
Requirements
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Matric/Grade12
- +2 years of experience required
- Internal product accreditation required
- 3-year relevant business experience preferred
Duties & Responsibilities
**Responsibilities and work outputs**
- Task of Knowledge Base Facilitator
Harvest content
- Analyze information to identify content gasps
- Actively engage content owners and sources where content is generated to ensure that information is pushed to knowledge base team
Content authorizing
Write content in suitable tone and language for electronic media
- Arrange content in format to suit target audience
- Accurately capture and publish information on knowledge base
Communication
Maintain relationships with business leader, content owners and call centre staff
- Engage with knowledge base visitors about queries and questions
- Effectively communicate with business leader about displaying content
Skills of knowledge base facilitator
Writing skills
- Arrange content in format to suit audience and content classification
- Analyse large quantities of information to identify the core message
- Communicate effectively with business leaders, content owners and call centre staff
- Encourage feedback about KB content and map corrective measures
- Manage own area of responsibility to ensure that content is comprehensive and accurate
People
Performance and Development: Manage own performance and development by ensuring that team goals are in place
- Have regular performance dialogue in discussion with manager
- Have updated and signed personal development plan in place
