**REQUIREMENTS**:

- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar 4* or 5* Front Office position
- Opera “Individual and Group/Block Reservations” experience (Essential)
- Reservations” (Essential)
- Banqueting / Events Booking experience (Essential)
- Basic Computer skills (Windows literate)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Excellent Administration Skills
- Excellent Telephonic Communication Skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to work shifts

QUALIFICATIONS: Grade 12
- Hotel School Diploma or National Qualification equivalent an advantage

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To ensure that all reservations requested are entered or responded to quickly and accurately and confirmed accordingly within the company turnaround policy.
- To ensure all bookings is accurately made on Dineplan
- Check-in guests at Alto234 arrival desk.
- Follow-up on provisional bookings.
- To ensure the arrival pre-list has been completed.
- To ensure that all pre-arrival checks has been completed for arrival of guests (wristbands, access cards,)
- To ensure that all Alto234 & events reservations requests are entered or responded to quickly and accurately and confirmed accordingly within the company turnaround policy.
- Ensuring that reservation, events policies and procedures regarding payments, confirmations & terms and conditions are effectively adhered to, and in line with a 5-star Hotel.
- To assist the Sales & Marketing department in promoting and selling Alto234 and banqueting facilities.
- Ensuring and adhering to effective communication from the reservations / Alto234 department to all operational departments.
- To ensure that deposit and contracts are received timeously, correctly, and to report any deviations to the Banqueting Manager.
- To be fully aware of the trends in the industry and make suggestions for the improvement of revenue.
- General Office and Admin duties.
- Maintaining all guest/agent/company profiles in Opera.
- Handling guest Queries.
- Any other relevant duties.
